Housing Program

Jamieson Community Center is excited to announce a housing project in partnership with Pattee Foundation. This program helps address the local housing shortage while offering lower-income households the opportunity to purchase a move-in-ready home.

Three homes have been purchased in Monmouth and are currently in various stages of renovation. As homes are completed, they will be sold to first-time home buyers earning 80% or less of the Area Median Income.

How the Program Works

  • Homes are purchased and renovated through patnership with Pattee Foundation

  • Interested buyers must attend a required homebuyer workshop

  • Applications and full requirements are provided at the workshop

  • There is no cost to apply

  • Qualified buyers will purchase homes through a lender

Program Requirements

  • Be a first-time home buyer

  • Attend one required homebuyer workshop

  • Complete free individual credit counseling with Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Northern Illinois

  • Save a minimum of $1,000 toward a down payment

  • Be pre-approved for a mortgage through a bank
