Senior Nutrition

With partial funding from Western Illinois Area Agency on Aging and the Warren County United Way, we provide a Senior Nutrition program in Warren and Henderson Counties.  All people 60 and older qualify.  Lunch is served at 11:30 AM.  Active seniors may join in our community meals Monday through Friday at Strom Center in Monmouth and Village Center in Kirkwood, on Mondays at the Community Senior Citizens Center in Stronghurst or Roseville Community Center, and Tuesday - Friday at Henderson Senior Center/Township Hall in Oquawka.  Home-bound seniors meeting eligibility requirements can receive home delivered meals for themselves and caregiver on a temporary or indefinite basis.

We serve more than 28,000 meals each year to area seniors.  For information on the impact of nutrition for older adults, we invite you to read The Facts Behind Senior Hunger from the National Council on Aging Care.
